<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize an inlet pressure of a hydrogen electrode for a fuel cell while avoiding making a system as a whole complex. <P>SOLUTION: An air supply means 14 supplying air to an air electrode 3 for the fuel cell 1 and a hydrogen supply means 28 supplying hydrogen to a hydrogen electrode 19 for the fuel cell 1 are provided, and at the same time, a hydrogen pipe volume varying means 33 for changing a volume of a hydrogen drain pipe 29 connected at a downstream of the hydrogen electrode 19 are also provided. At a highland with a low outside air pressure, the hydrogen pipe volume varying means 33 enlarges a volume of the hydrogen drain pipe 29 at an exit side of the hydrogen electrode 19, in lowering the inlet pressure of the hydrogen electrode 19 by a hydrogen flow control valve 25 in accordance with the lowering of the outside air pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
