<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system of which the energy consumption during engine warming-up is restrained. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a stack 1, a passage for antifreeze 2 in which the antifreeze passes through the inside of the stack 1, an antifreeze heating means 3 heating the antifreeze, an antifreeze pump 11 supplying the antifreeze to the passage for antifreeze 2, and switching valves 21-24 switching the flowing direction of the antifreeze. The flowing direction of the antifreeze is changed at least once while warming the stack 1, for example, the flowing direction of the antifreeze in the stack 1 is changed when the temperature difference between the system warming target temperature T<SB>1</SB>and the temperature at inflow port in the stack T<SB>in</SB>become equal to the temperature difference between the temperature of the stack at the initial stage of warming T<SB>0</SB>and the temperature at outflow port in the stack T<SB>out</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
