<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a conductive agent for alkaline battery that can enhance conductivity of an alkaline battery electrode, especially can increase the capacity by improving utilization rate of the electrode active material in an alkaline secondary battery, and its manufacturing method as well as the alkaline secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The conductive agent for alkaline battery has a rock-salt type crystal structure and is made of a nickel-cobalt monoxide compound containing sodium and/or potassium. It is desirable that the content of sodium and potassium is 0.01 or more in atomic ratio against the sum total of sodium, potassium, nickel, and cobalt, and the ratio of nickel and cobalt (nickel:cobalt) is 30:70-90:10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
