<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain time synchronization between ECUs (electronic control units), considering even a time lag of transmission/reception due to collision etc. of message frames on a communication bus of a network system. <P>SOLUTION: A master ECU and two or more slave ECUs are defined. In a first step, the local timer values of a slave ECU is matched with the local timer value of the master ECU. In a second step, the local timer value of the master ECU is matched with the local timer value of a slave ECU. The differential time between the local timer value of the slave ECU received in the slave ECU which has not previously transmitted and its own local timer value is calculated.
