<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core material for a body fixture and the body fixture, having suitable rigidity as a body fixture, light-weight, easily cut, with fitness to the body and air permeability, not reactive to a device sensible to metals, easily handled, and suitable for use in medical field or clothing field. <P>SOLUTION: This core material for the body fixture is formed of a long shape retaining material made by binding one or more thermoplastic resin-made wire rods in parallel, whose return angle in bending at 90 degrees is 20 degrees or less.
