摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic flowmeter which minimizes the reduction in measurement accuracy and the influence by deflection flow even if the numbers of excitation coils and magnetic circuit components are reduced, and reduces the total cost by reducing the numbers of manufacturing steps, parts, assembly steps and the like. SOLUTION: An excitation coil 4 is arranged at the upper surface side of a measurement pipe 1 via a plate core 7 and a center core 8, and the outer periphery of the measurement pipe 1 is covered with an outer core 20. In the outer core 20, an upper portion 20A at the excitation coil 4 side and a lower portion 20B at the opposite side to the excitation coil 4 side are formed into an asymmetric semi-cylindrical or semi-elliptical form, with electrodes 5, 5 being sandwiched therebetween. A top portion 20a of the upper portion 20A is fixed onto the center core 8 and a bottom portion 20b of the lower portion 20B is in close contact with the lower surface of the measurement pipe 1.
