PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor pump of such a structure that the gap between the motor stator and the rotor is made small, and thereby it is possible to enhance the motor efficiency and establish a smaller device construction. SOLUTION: The stator 16 of the motor pump 10 consists of a core part 20, a bottom part 22, and a flange part 24 and isolates and seals the part (inside one housing 26) where the stator 16 is installed from the part (pump part 14) where the rotor 18 and an impeller 32 are installed, and the stator 16 itself has a function of a waterproofing bulkhead. That is, this motor pump 10 is an improvement of a conventional "canned motor pump" in which the stator is isolated and sealed from the impeller (pump part) by installing a can (sealed vessel), and is constituted with such a can omitted. This lessens the gap between the stator 16 and the rotor 18 (magnetic gap) and decreases the magnetic resistance to lead to enhancement of the motor efficiency.
