PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of searching similar correction parts to search efficiently and accurately parts where a possibility to make corrections in a manner similar to corrected parts is high; and a program therefor. SOLUTION: A source file F1 yet to be corrected and a corrected source file F2 are compared for the detection of their difference, and corrected parts in the source file F1 yet to be corrected are specified and recorded as corrected parts P1 (S101). Based on a rule R2 of creating blocks, a reference block B1 containing the code of each corrected part P1 and blocks B1 to be compared which contain the codes of similar parts P2 similar to the description of the corrected parts are created (S102). Bases on rules R3 of comparing and determining similar blocks, the blocks B2 to be compared are searched for similar blocks B3 similar to the reference block B1, depending on the similarity and the position of each code (S103).
