PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of displaying various colors and patters with a simple control. SOLUTION: The display device 10 is composed of panels 11-1 to 11-3, and a color manifesting controller 12 which controls development of colors of the panels 11-1 to 11-3. The panel 11-1 develops red, the panel 11-2 develops green, and the panel 11-3 develops purple-blue, respectively, at the time of the color development. Each of panel is substantially transparent and allow light rays developed by other panels to pass through when not developed , and develops light rays in which the light ray developed by other panels and by the panel itself are mixed when developed.
