PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air compressor for an air suspension device capable of promoting the process of cooling a motor. SOLUTION: The air compressor includes a body 2 of reciprocative type which is driven by the motor 3 to feed by pressure the air from a suction hole 14 to a discharge hole 15, and the compressed air is supplied to an air spring of the air suspension via an air dryer 5. The suction hole 14 is connected by a connecting hose 20 to a crank chamber 18 in a crank case 11 which serves also as a front cover for the motor 3. An aeration hole 32 is provided in the bottom of a motor case 22. The outer air introduced from the aeration hole 32 into the motor 3 is fed to the gap between a rotor 23 and a stator 24 to cool them, and sucked from the suction hole 14 through the crank chamber 18 and the hose 20. This establishes efficient cooling of the motor 3 and the crank camber 18 with the outer air sucked into the cylinders. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
