PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building capable of reducing a construction cost by suppressing the height of the whole building and effectively arranging habitable rooms and storng spaces. SOLUTION: In the building 1 equipped with at least a specific floor, a roof 4 mounted upward thereof and an attic space 5 formed between the specific floor and the roof 4, the specific floor includes an intermediate floor 40 provided to part thereof, an intermediate under floor side space 41 formed in the lower side of the intermediate floor 40 and an intermediate floor upper side space 42 formed in the upper side of the intermediate floor 40, and an open ceiling space 42 is constituted by connecting at least part of the intermediate floor upper side space 42 to part of the attic space 5, and the space to be constituted can be effectively used as the habitable rooms and the storing spaces while preventing the increase of a construction cost because the height of the whole building 1 is not increased by providing a daylighting means 42A to a roof 4B or an external wall 3D covering the open ceiling space 42, and a dwelling environment of the open ceiling space 42 can be improved.
