PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroconductive coating, especially an electroconductive coating for a toner transfer drum with low temperature-curable electroconductive lacquer. SOLUTION: The electroconductive coating is producible by hydrolyzing and condensing a mixture comprising at least one hydrolyzable silicon compound represented by general formula SiXnR(4-n)(I), wherein at least one R radical is a mercapto-substituted alkyl or aryl, and a compound represented by general formula ZaSiYbR(4-a-b)(II), wherein Z radical is e.g. a quaternary ammonium salt, and the compound hydrolyzed and condensed contains at least one ether part. The coating is especially suitable for a toner-transfer drum and has high scratch resistance and good adhesion to the substrate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
