APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FEEDING OBJECT TO BE CARRIED TO CONVEYANCE DRUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly feed objects to be carried onto the outer peripheral surface of a conveyance drum at predetermined intervals by means of a feed roller for keeping the objects correctly arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the conveyance drum. SOLUTION: (1) A roller 3 having a plurality of cutting pieces 31 having a pair of protrusions 311 protrusively provided separately with predetermined intervals in the axial direction of the roller which are protrusively provided separately with equal intervals along the circumferential direction is used as the feed roller. (2) A roller 5 formed on the outer peripheral surface with a cutting groove 51 having numerous protrusions 52 protrusively provided to face each other on both sidewalls is used as the feed roller. (3) The feeding position of the objects to be carried by the feed roller is specified at a position displaced by a predetermined angle from the uppermost point of the conveyance drum in the reversely rotating direction.
