<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OLED (organic light emitting device) having an excellent performance. <P>SOLUTION: The OLED comprising a support body; an anode on the support body; a light emitting region on the anode including an organic electric light emitting material; a cathode on the light emitting region (as the result, biases of the cathode and anode cause a light emission from the light emitting region); a first dielectric layer on the cathode; a metal layer, on the dielectric layer, including a metal or a metal alloy with a work function less than 4eV; and a capping layer for passivation of the OLED containing a second dielectric layer on the metal layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
