<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a multi-color ballpoint pen, mechanical pen or the like whose color or the like is selected by rotating a clip wobbles and is not stable when nothing is to be written, that is, when all cartridges are housed in the pen, although a cartridge of any color can be taken out soon. <P>SOLUTION: In the multi-color ballpoint pen, mechanical pen or the like whose color or the like is selected by rotating the clip 1, an empty position 3 for projecting no cartridge is provided in a similar manner to other cartridge carriers 4, whereby the clip-type multi-color ballpoint pen, mechanical pen or the like does not wobble when nothing is to be written with it, that is, when all of the cartridges 2 are housed in the pen.
