PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive which reduces the number of its components with a simple constitution and also realizes the same operations as those of the conventional disk drive, that is, an operation for holding a cartridge and an operation for kicking out the cartridge. SOLUTION: Since a kick up lever 122 is elastically deformed by being abutted on a locking arm part 116 at the time of insertion of a cartridge 141, a locking pawl 118 and a locking plate 120 are engaged although the locking arm part 116 is brought into contact with the kick up lever 122. Moreover, the engagement of the locking pawl 118 and the locking plate 120 is released by pushing up the locking lever part 116 with the kick up lever 122. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
