PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for selecting a temporary adjustment value set before an adjustment step wherein the error of a product is suppressed by improving the accuracy of a temporary adjustment value set for the product in the adjustment step. SOLUTION: When the optimal adsjustment value of a part to be adjusted varies from product to product, as a temporary adjustment value set before an adjustment step, a representative value among optimal adjustment values of adjused products is set as such. That is, the real adjustment data of the adjusted products is reflected as a temporary adjustment value for a next product to be adjusted. As the representative value among the optimal adjustment values, an average value, an intermediate value, or a most frequent value is used. Since the accuracy of the temporary adjustment value is improved, the error determination of a nondefective product is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
