PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot 1 for an optical connector capable of effectively suppressing bending of optical fibers and leakage of adhesives. SOLUTION: The boot 1 formed by dividing an aperture 3 on an optical connector 10 side (front end side) of a through hole 2 housing and holding optical fibers 20 to a plurality of optical fiber insertion bores 5 respectively allowing the insertion of the optical fibers by a partition 4 formed in the through-hole 2 is used. As a result, the optical fibers 20 can be arranged straight without the occurrence of gaps between the optical fibers 20 with each other or between the inner wall of the boot 1 and the optical fibers 20. Therefore the leakage of the adhesives from the rear end of the boot 1 and inconvenience, such as biasing of the optical fibers 20, can be prevented and the easy assembly of the low-loss optical connector is made possible.
