PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of display quality due to linked bright spot-like defect caused by conductive particles deposited on adjacent pixel electrodes, without increasing laser beam emitting work. SOLUTION: In this display device, plural signal lines 11 and scanning lines 12 are provided to cross each other, and the signal lines 11 are connected to the pixel electrodes 7 via TFT1 provided in the vicinity of the crossing part of the signal lines 11 and the scanning lines 12. Further, a correction signal line 13 is provided between the adjacent pixel electrodes, e.g., 7X and 7Y, and a correction signal is generated by a correction signal generation circuit 15. By supplying the correction signal for generating black display level to the correction signal line 13, the correction signal is supplied to the pixel electrodes 7X and 7Y via the conductive particles deposited on the adjacent pixel electrodes to turn the linked bright spot-like defect to a black spot.
