摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct an optical system suitable for a rear projector and to reduce a cost of the optical system by considering flexibility in the height direction. SOLUTION: By changing a PBS (polarization beam splitter) using a panel for a color separating and combining system from a horizontal structure to an upright structure, an optical component such as the PBS is made small in terms of volume and low-cost and the rear projector with flexibility in the height direction rather than in the width direction is obtained.
