DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING SIZE OF MEASURING OBJECT AND PHOTO SENSOR SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device (measuring method) to measure a size of a measuring object which shortens a time required to scan elements composing an light-emitting unit and a light-receiving unit, and also to provide a photo sensor substrate which increases resolution of the light-emitting unit and the light-receiving unit used in the device. SOLUTION: The size measuring device measures a size of a measuring object which exists between light-emitting element rows and light-receiving element rows such that the light-emitting element rows 12a and 12c and light-receiving element rows 12b and 12d are located apart, and light-emitting elements and light-receiving elements included in the light-emitting element rows and the light-receiving element rows are scanned in a pair. The device comprises: the light-emitting unit and the light-receiving unit formed by dividing the light-emitting elements and the light-receiving elements included in the light-emitting element rows and the light-receiving element rows into a plurality of blocks; a parallel scanning means which simultaneously scans the blocks by making pairs of the light-emitting elements and the light-receiving elements included in the divided the light-emitting unit and the light-receiving unit sequentially; and a control substrate 7 which controls the parallel scanning.
