PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter member replacement type fuel filter capable of preventing such troubles that an engine fails from occurring by adding a means to prevent fuel from being fed to the engine when a filter member is not fitted to the fuel filter. SOLUTION: This filter member replacement type fuel filter comprises a case forming an outer shell, a fuel supply passage supplying fuel into the case, the filter member stored in the case and filtrating foreign matter in the fuel, and a fuel discharge passage discharging the fuel filtrated by the filter member. The fuel filter also comprises a means to prevent the fuel from being fed when the filter member is not stored in the case. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
