A refrigerator comprising storerooms (2, 3, 4, 5) provided in a refrigerator body (1); a freezing cycle unit wherein a combustible refrigerant is sealed and a compressor (20), a condenser (27) and evaporators (14, 16) are provided; a high-voltage electrical component (23) provided to the refrigerator body; a refrigerating means (70) which refrigerates the storerooms by driving the compressor; a low-pressure side refrigerant leakage sensor (70) which detects a refrigerant leakage or a premonitory sign of leakage from the low-pressure side of the freezing cycle unit; and a false detection control means (70) which temporarily stops the operation of the high-voltage electrical component while allowing the refrigerating means to continue the refrigerating operation when the low-pressure side refrigerant leakage sensor has detected a refrigerant leakage or a premonitory sign of leakage.
