WIRING METHOD FOR OPTICAL FIBER CABLE AND COVER FOR BRANCHING OPTICAL FIBER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the branch connection of an optical fiber cable even in a branch connection box having no space in which a cable slot rod is housed without giving damage or optical influence causing communication trouble to a coated optical fiber.

SOLUTION: The cover for branching the optical fiber cable 1 is constituted of a cover lower part 2B and a cover upper part attached to the lower part 2B so as to cover it over, and the lower part 2B or the cover upper part has a cable cover part 7A covering over the coating removed part of the optical fiber cable 3, a guide part 7B guiding the coated optical fiber branched from the cable 3 to the branch connection box 4 side, a pair of cable grasping parts 6 fixing the coating removed edge of the cable at both ends of the coating removed part of the cable without cutting the cable slot rod in order to secure the excess length of the coated optical fiber required for branch connection, and a branching cover fixing part 9 fixed in the branch connection box.
