<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain compact slag with a low porosity through a process wherein the slag is manufactured by cooling and solidifying molten slag of blast-furnace slag, converter slag, electric-furnace slag, etc., produced at iron mills, etc., or molten slag discharged in melting incineration residues of wastes such as municipal waste and residential sludge. <P>SOLUTION: In the process for manufacturing the low-porosity slag, a solid substance is added to the slag with a porosity of≥20% at a temperature lower than its melting temperature by 30-300°C to achieve a porosity of≤20%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
