PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a film for projecting a moving picture whereby a high quality image is comparatively readily formed on a film, and to provide a comparatively simple and inexpensive film recorder. SOLUTION: A light transmission type film 2 is fed from an un-colored film holding reel 1, and then images are continuously formed on the film by ejecting ink from a recording head 5. The film having the ink applied thereon passes through a drying section 6 by passing through a roller 3. The ink applied on the film is dried by an infrared light drying device to be fixed on the film. The film having the fixed ink thereon is wound around a colored film winding reel 4.
