PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor which outputs an index signal without adding a chip magnet and which can simplify a magnet adhering step. SOLUTION: A stator core 4 is covered with a cup-like rotor yoke 10, and one end side of a shaft 8 is opened. A plurality of magnets 11 are mounted at a predetermined interval in a circumferential direction on an inner peripheral surface of the rotor yoke 10. Projections 16 projected from the magnets 11 are formed in a direction parallel to the shaft 8. One of the magnets 11 is disposed so that the projections 16 are directed toward an open side of the rotor yoke 10, and the residual magnets 11 are disposed so that the projections 16 are directed to an opposite side. Holes 17 to be engaged with the projections 16 of the residual magnets 11 are formed on the rotor yoke 10. A holding part 34 for positioning the magnets 11 at predetermined positions and holding the magnets 11 is formed to project radially inward between mounting surfaces 33 mounted with the magnets 11 on the rotor yoke 10.
