PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication means low in cost, and reduced in occupancy space and power consumption in a communication apparatus used by being connected to an analog public line or a public branch exchange. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus comprises: a first communication means connected to a telephone line for communications; and a connecting mean connecting a second communication means connected through the first communication means to the telephone line for communications. The first communication means has a first switch means connecting the telephone line to the first communication means or the second communication means, and a second switch means connected between lines between the telephone line and the first switch means and generating dial pulses.
