PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with a variety of digital broadcasting through a simple circuit arrangement while lessening the load on a receiver side CPU. SOLUTION: A receiver body 3 comprises a means for deciding whether a PC card tuner 1 can be dealt with or not, and a bus control switching means performing switching control of a part of a PC card IF signal as a signal dedicated to transmission/reception of the tuner. Each means is constituted of a body control section 13. Using a general purpose signal line for the PC card IF signal, a control circuit in the receiver body 3 sustains control of the PC card tuner 1. Using a signal line dedicated to the signal line for the PC card IF signal, a transport stream signal from the PC card tuner 1 can be inputted to a transport decoder circuit in the receiver body 3.
