PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input device for allowing a user to always quickly and easily select a symbol when selecting a symbol to be inputted among a plurality of symbols by time for operating an operator such as a key. SOLUTION: A character data switching control part 208 constitutes a control part 200, and detects operation executed by the user to the key for constituting an operation part 200. When allocating the plurality of symbols to the key of detecting the operation, the inputting symbol is displayed on a display part 116 by the operation while successively and automatically switching character data according to the time for continuing the operation.
