PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article ejector for an automatic vending machine capable of surely preventing an article delivery defect due to article erection even in the case of fixing the position of a housing frame so as to make a depth dimension inside the housing frame longer or using the driving motor of small driving force. SOLUTION: The article ejector is provided with a lifter 25 held in a projected end attitude projected upwards from a mounting surface 10c for temporarily receiving a dropped article 1 and correcting it to a attitude close to horizontal when the ejecting operation of the article 1 at a lower end part is performed by a pusher 23 and the back side part of the article 1 second from the bottom is dropped downwards. The lifter 25 is held in an inclined posture of being lowered on a back side in the projected end attitude. Thus, when the article 1 is dropped onto the lifter 25, the article 1 is slid and moved in the inclined direction, the article 1 is corrected so as to be shifted to an excellent horizontal attitude and the article erection is prevented.
