LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of realizing a precharge driving method without using a memory. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display device to which a precharge driving system is applied in order to raise a liquid crystal charging rate and which generates a control signal which is required for precharge drive and its driving method, a vertical synchronization starting signal for the precharge drive of gate lines is generated by counting the number of pulses of horizontal synchronizing signals while utilizing a character that the number of pulses of the horizontal synchronizing signals of a vertical back porch section is fixed without using a memory and by generating a pulse for precharge of the vertical synchronization starting signal or a pulse for driving a gate line when the count reaches prescribed values.
