摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a brightness difference due to an image pickup signal level for each of a plurality of areas of an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: An imaging device 1 is provided with every dual system of accumulated charge vertical transfer mechanism, horizontal transfer mechanism, and image pickup signal output mechanism constituted of an FDA, and those dual system are operated in parallel. The imaging device 1 performs a dark photographing operation when shutter seconds are not less than one second. The dark photographing operation is performed by shading the image pickup face of the imaging device 1. An FDA detector 7 changes, so as to be low, the setting of the conversion efficiency of the FDA whose signal level is higher so that the signal level can be arranged with the lower signal level of an image pickup signal outputted after the dark photographing operation between the first area 1-1 and the second area 2-2 corresponding to the dual system image signal output mechanisms. Thus, the difference of dark currents between the first area 1-1 and the second area 2-2 and the brightness difference due to the difference of transferring efficiency can be reduced.
