An adjustable support for a floor set over supporting ground has a telescopic construction with an outer housing and an inner shaft each with a thrust support plate at the ends of the fitting. The free end of the outer housing is fitted with a threaded nut secured by tags. The nut comprises a flat metal section with a pressed sleeve with inner thread and with slots to take securing tags attached to the end of the housing. The inner shaft comprises a hollow tube with outer thread. The telescopic supports are secured between the ground the lower support base of the floor.
