PURPOSE: Provided are a method for alleviating the violence and noeating of a deer in the age of puberty and a method for promoting the growth of deer's horn by administering a steroid compound into a deer. CONSTITUTION: A method for alleviating the violence and noeating of a deer in the age of puberty is characterized by administering an effective amount of a steroid compound selected from 17 beta-hydroxy-4-estren-3-one and ester derivatives of 17 beta-hydroxy-4-estren-3-one. And a method for promoting the growth of deer's horn is characterized by administering an effective amount of a steroid compound selected from 17 beta-hydroxy-4-estren-3-one(19-nortestosterone) and ester derivatives of 17 beta-hydroxy-4-estren-3-one(19-nortestosterone).
