<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium for DVD (DVD-R, DVD+R) having a small dependence on the recording wavelength and superior recording characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: (1) This optical recording medium, in which at least a pigment recording layer and a reflective layer are successively laminated on a substrate, forming a groove and/or pits on the surface, has a feature that the light absorption factor L is arranged to be 10-40% for the light in the range 645-670 nm of wavelength λ in vacuum, the ratio of maximum value and minimum value in the wavelength characteristic L(λ) of the light absorption factor is arranged to be 1.0-2.0, and the light reflectivity is arranged to be 45∼85%. (2) The optical recording medium described in any of claims 1 to 7 has a feature that the track pitch of the groove is 0.73-0.75 μm, the groove depth is 1450-1650 Å, and the groove width is 0.21-0.31 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
