摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a carbon material for an electrode which is industrially useful, capable of stably and efficiently manufacturing a carbon material for an electrode of high resistance against an electrolyte, with high efficiency, large capacity, and small irreversible capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: The method manufactures a carbon material for an electrode where a carbide of organic compound sticks to the surface of a graphitic carbonaceous material by thermal hot carbonizing process after mixing the graphitic carbonaceous material with organic compound which can be carbonized. Before hot carbonizing the mixture of the graphitic carbonaceous material and organic compound which can be carbonized, a process is provided for heating it at 10-500&deg;C to remove a volatile component contained in the organic compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
