<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL drive circuit and an organic EL display device in which timing control employing control signals or the like is not conducted, a peak current for driving the current of an organic EL element is easily generated and control of the current driving is easily conducted. <P>SOLUTION: A switching transistor is provided in parallel with an output side transistor and an organic EL element is initially charged by generating a peak current from the current of the switching transistor. When the organic EL element that is to be connected to a pin by a clamp circuit is initially charged, the switching transistor is turned off.
