<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of forming an outer electrode and an inner electrode in an optimum status for environment of each electrode of the enzyme sensor element and surely obtaining an enzyme sensor element being excellent in responsiveness and of which aged deterioration is restrained. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method has the following series of processes: on an outer surface of a not-calcined body bottomed cylinder, slurry containing particles of ZrO<SB>2</SB>content of 20 mass% and average particle diameter of 50 to 100μm is coated and dried and then calcined to obtain a solid oxygen-ion-conductive electrolyte body 11 of which surface roughness is 20 to 200μm. Then, an outer metal layer to become the outer electrode 12 is formed on an outer surface of the obtained solid electrolyte body and then heated at temperatures of 1,000 to 1,400°C. After that, an inner metal layer to become the inner electrode 13 is formed on an inner surface of the solid electrolyte body and then heated at temperatures of 600 to 900°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
