<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an ultraviolet according to a desired wave range. <P>SOLUTION: The ultraviolet sensor 10 detects the ultraviolet of desired wave range is characterized in that: a 1st diamond photodiode 11 formed by controlling a nitrogen amount in a diamond, and absorbs ≤λ<SB>1</SB>ultraviolet and outputs detected value proportional to the amount of the ultraviolet; a 2nd diamond photodiode 12 formed by controlling the nitrogen amount contained in the diamond, and absorbs ≤λ<SB>2</SB>(λ<SB>2</SB>>λ<SB>1</SB>) ultraviolet and outputs the detected value proportional to the amount of the ultraviolet; and an ultraviolet detecting means 13, 14 which outputs the value proportional to amount of the ultraviolet of wavelength λ<SB>1</SB>-λ<SB>2</SB>as the detected value by subtracting the detected value of the 2nd diamond photodiode 12 from the detected value of the 1st diamond photodiode 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
