PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and promptly remove deposited crushed garbage cumulatively increasing in amount with time in a channel for making crushed garbage flow toward a decomposition treatment site. SOLUTION: In the garbage treatment device, a crushed garbage internal channel 29 is taken into a decomposition device 67, and the crushed garbage is supplied to the channel 29 through a freely attachable/detachable valve cover 47 constituting the decomposition device 67. In maintenance, the valve cover 47 is detached from the decomposition device 67 to make the channel 29 exposed to the outside to be observed directly from the outside, so that a user can directly remove the crushed garbage adhering to the channel 29 by a simple removing means such as a bar.
