PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device for efficiently reproducing desired contents. SOLUTION: The device includes a recording means (700) for recording the desired contents; generating means (100, 101) for specifying recorded contents to be the link source of the prescribed contents when the recording means records the prescribed contents, and generating contents link information for linking the prescribed contents with the recorded contents of the link source; and reproducing means (100, 700) for reproducing the contents based on the contents link information.
