PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device and an air blowing device which make it possible to efficiently cool a component to be cooled without any partiality by making the capacity of air blown out of the exit of an air channel uniform when air from a fan is guided to the component to be cooled through the air channel. SOLUTION: When the air blown by the centrifugal fan 49 is guided from an entrance-side outlet 44a to a liquid crystal light valve 27 through the air channel 52, a chamber part 53 is formed downstream from the entrance-side outlet 44a of the air channel 52 and the capacity of the air blown out of the entrance-side outlet 44a is made uniform to efficiently cool the liquid crystal valve 27 without any partiality.
