摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductor imaging radiation sensor system of high detection efficiency and high speed which enables a high-energy resolution imaging to photons in a wavelength region from X-rays toγ-rays, and also to provide a radiation sensor system of high speed and high sensitivity wherein wavelength dependency of sesitivity to light in a wide wavelength region from ultra-violet light to infrared is small. SOLUTION: A single crystal substrate is made to absorb the so-called radiations such asγ-rays and energy is converted into non-balancing phonon. A plurality of superconductor series junctions are disposed on a surface of the substrate, and a signal is taken out. Incidence position dependency of signal magnitude is compensated at the same time when the incidence position of radiation is obtained. A large area, high position resolution, high sensitivity and high speed are realized. To the so-called light, optical absorber is made to absorb the light. Energy of photons is converted into non-balancing phonon, and a signal is generated by the superconductor series junction.
