PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To added an outside air introducing function to an existing building without spoiling its appearance. SOLUTION: In this ventilator extension method, a vent hole communicating the inner space of an existing building and its underfloor space is formed at a relatively center position of a first floor of the building, subsequently, a ventilation cabinet provided with an electric fan, introducing the outside air from the undersurface and supplying it from a blow-off grill on a side face through a built-in filter is mounted on the first floor provided with the vent hole. The ventilation cabinet is to be installed in a living space of the existing building. A through hole is formed in a partition wall dividing the living space and a common use space such as a hallway, a stair case and an entrance hall. Subsequently, one of blow-off grills of the ventilation cabinet provided with a pair of blow-off grills is fitted in the through hole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
