PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pavement block relatively lighter than a conventional pavement block, further firmly fixable to a surface to be laid, and easily recyclable in disposal. SOLUTION: The pavement block usable as an interlocking block and the pavement surface forming method using this block are disclosed. This block has a rectangular pavement forming part and a leg part respectively arranged in the same and vertical direction in the pavement forming part in opposed two end parts of the pavement forming part, that is, the leg part having a hook on the opening tip part side. A pavement surface can be easily formed by engaging the hook of the block with a hook of a fixture fixed in advance to the ground surface. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
