PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new collagen scarcely causing heat denaturation in the same manner as that of collagen derived from an animal and readily dissolving in use and to provide a cosmetic comprising the collagen as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: The collagen is characterized in that the collagen is derived from fishes and shellfishes and freeze-dried.
