PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the thermal cracking temperature toward the target substance, micronize the powder, and reduce the manufacturing cost in manufacturing a titanium multicomponent oxide powder by the oxalate method. SOLUTION: An aqueous titanium tetrachloride solution with an A/R ratio≤2.2 is used as a raw material solution in manufacturing the titanium multicomponent oxide powder by the oxalate method, where A is the content of anatase-type bond and B is the content of rutile-type bond. The ratio A/R is determined as the Ti-O bonding state by the broad band X-ray absorption edge microstructure analysis method. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
