The toothed link (1) for a conveyor chain has two end teeth (3) which interlock with the cogwheels and have lower surfaces (6) which slide along the surface of a guide (8) when not interlocked with them. An intermediate tooth (4) which does not cooperate with the wheels reduces overall friction on the teeth. Independent claims are included for : (a) a conveyor chain containing links as described above; and (b) a chain conveyor containing the chain.
