Vibration insulator comprises a bearing in the form of a bearing block unit (1) having a truncated pyramid-shaped recess in which an object with a base (3) fitting into the recess is supported by an elastic and damping insulating element arrangement (2). The support surfaces (1.3) of the recess face the object. Block-shaped or plate-shaped elastomer bodies (2.1) of the insulating element arrangement are attached to the support surfaces of the alternatively truncated pyramid-like or concave-shaped recess or to the base surfaces of the base facing the recess.
